Hitchcock FAQ

No! We welcome participants from Brimfield and surrounding towns—and we are always happy to welcome visitors from beyond this area as well.

Hitchcock has long served as a gathering place for people from many communities, and we look forward to welcoming you.

Thank you for thinking of Hitchcock! We are grateful for the generosity of people who want to contribute. Because space is limited and our needs change over time, we are able to accept only certain in-kind donations.

Before bringing items to Hitchcock, please contact us so we can determine whether your donation is something we can use at this time.

If you’re considering donating an item, we’d be happy to talk with you before you bring it in.

Please stop by during our normal business hours or contact us to discuss.

We’d love to hear from you! Whether you’re an experienced instructor interested in teaching at Hitchcock or someone with an idea for a new class, workshop, or community event, we welcome the opportunity to talk.

Please contact us to start the conversation.

Yes! Our historic building and grounds are available for a variety of events, including celebrations, nonprofit fundraisers, meetings, and community gatherings. Because our facilities are also home to Hitchcock’s year-round programming, availability is subject to Hitchcock’s scheduled activities.

We’d love to show you around! Because our building is busy with classes and community programs throughout the day, we ask that tours ideally be scheduled in advance. Contact us to schedule a tour.

We have an access ramp leading to the front entrance of our building and our two meeting rooms on the first floor are accessible. One restroom on the first floor is also accessible. If you have specific accessibility needs, please contact us. We’ll be happy to answer your questions and help you plan your visit.

We understand that affordability is an important consideration.

Hitchcock is an independent, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Unlike some organizations e.g. libraries or senior centers, we do not receive ongoing funding through a town budget or other government support that helps subsidize the cost of programs. We fund our programs primarily through class registration fees, donations, and other community support.

We work hard to keep our programs affordable while providing high-quality experiences in our historic community building. Class fees also help us care for our facilities so they can continue serving the community for years to come.

Thank you for your interest! We’re always happy to talk with businesses and individuals who are interested in supporting Hitchcock and investing in the community we serve.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for many of our signature programs and events throughout the year, including the Hitchcock Summer Concert Series, Hitchcock Golf Classic, and Christmas at Hitchcock. We also welcome conversations about broader, year-round support.

Our sponsors do more than make our events possible—they help strengthen a community resource that serves residents of all ages throughout the year. Whether you’re interested in sponsoring a single event or exploring a longer-term relationship, we’d love to talk with you. Please contact us to learn more.

Renovating our tennis and pickleball courts is an important priority for Hitchcock, and we know many members of the community are eager to see this work completed. For updates, subscribe to our emails and follow us on social media.
